Cosplay Costumes

Here is the cosplay of Disney's Tangled I made: At the time I didn't think to make a tutorial on how to make this, so sorry guys just pics of how they turned out.
Excuse the tackiness of Flynn's costume. I didn't use any
patterns so that explains how that turned out.
I ordered my wig off of Amazon for about $40. I had also ordered
flowers to go in my wig, but I forgot to pack them along with me. The
pattern I used for my bodice was Simplicity 2757. The skirt was made
from scratch also. However the pattern does come with a skirt pattern,
it'll just need to be tweaked a little. The design's on the skirt were painted
with acrylic paints and outlined with puffy fabric paint, topped with glitter.
I copied the designs from a movie clip found on Google
and I drew them out on paper.
The pale pink under shirt is a leotard I purchased from Target.
I can't remember how much it was but it's from the girls section.
Something I forgot to do was add lace to the end of the sleeves,
and that can be added by sewing it on or the easier way would
be to use fabric glue. I used fabric glue for alot, it really came handy.
Here is a closer view of the makeup and hair. Used mostly
pinks and kept it calm, didn't want to go over board because
Rapunzel's makeup was very settle and innocent. As I mentioned
I forgot the flowers I originally planned on using at home.
I would recommend that you buy a better quality wig. This
one was super cheap and for the most part served it's
purpose, however shortly after I received it I tried to brush
it out a little bit and that turned into a disaster. Perhaps I
should have known better with this kind of hair not to do that! Also
throughout the night the back of the braid (the part with most
contact) became very matted and tangled, so now the wig
is not reusable.
Flynn Rider and Rapunzel at Disneyland's
Halloween Party.

Close up of 'Flynn Rider'. His costume consisted of more
clothes that I purchased rather than making them. The vest,
satchel and 'boots' were made all by scratch, no patterns.
Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned for more
cosplay posts!
